Middle Parts Take Center Stage

What do North Dakota, a freshman girl at a frat party, Lindsay Lohan, and middle parts all have in common? A bad reputation.  Unlike Lindsey Lohan, though, middle parts can be a simple, classy, and trendy choice this winter.

Tyra Banks once referred to her forehead as a “five finger” forehead.  Well guess what, my friends, mine is an easy “six finger” forehead, and I still chose to rock the middle part every now and then.

Why are fashionistas, celebrities, and everyday ladies opting to center their parts this winter? Well, partly because the trend has been feverishly frowned upon for some time.  Like bell-bottoms, all trends have to come back some time, right? Well….hopefully the shoulder-pad trend stays in the closet.

Regardless, middle parts can be a pretty option especially if you have the front of your hair angled.  It can create a beautiful frame for your face without the harsh lines of straight across bangs.  A middle part will effortlessly draw attention to your facial features, so pump up the volume on one specific part when you opt to slice your hair down the middle.  Bold eye makeup can take on extra edge with a middle ‘do.

The most important thing to remember when sporting a middle part- and I know we all read this day in and day out- is to wear it with confidence.  Despite its bad rep, more and more women are parting down the center, and they’re looking beautiful while doing it!
