There is nothing I hate more than chapped lips, which sadly seems like a constant ailment! So, the question is…Chap Stick or lipstick? Is one better than the other? Does lipstick even help chapped lips or does it have to be Chap Stick?  How about a combo? Am I excluding lip-gloss? (Oops!) So I thought that I’d take it upon myself to figure this out myself! I need to find myself a remedy ASAP!

Chap stick. I think we all have that all-time favorite Chap Stick that we refuse to leave the house with. We all know it, the one you buy six of so you can put one in each purse, the car, and in your bedside table. Or maybe that’s just me? So we all know that Chap Sticks are made for moisturizing your lips, but what about lipsticks? Or lip-glosses?

Lip Gloss. Some work wonders, some just make your lips sticky, and others just add sparkle and shine. Remember that lip-gloss and lip balm are different, balm tends to be more moisturizing than lip-gloss. I like gloss to make my lips shine, but it has some moisturizer in it, well then it’s a win-win situation!

Lip Stick. If you’re looking to add color to your lips while getting rid of your chapped lips then you need to look for moisturizes. An important one to look for is aloe extract in your lipstick with its healing qualities. Even though the winter is over your lips are still vulnerable, so keep them healthy! You don’t want chapped lips when you’re trying to rock a vibrant color and you keep nibbling on them! Then by the end of the day you’re lips will be back to their normal color and probably feel even worse! (And no one wants that!)

Chap stick, lip-gloss, or lipstick. It’s all up to preference in the end! At least the air conditioners are finally on and the heaters have kicked off so I don’t have to worry about as much chapping! Also don’t forget to look for SPF in whatever you are using to protect your lips from the UV rays!
