It’s been a long and grueling day at work. Even though the air conditioning was finally turned on, it still felt stuffy all day long in your cubicle. Now you are done, the day has dragged on long enough and the night is calling your name! (It sounds a lot better than when your boss was yelling your name) You don’t have to work tomorrow and the whole city is your oyster! You called up all the girls and are ready to spin the city upside down…but how to take your I’ve-had-enough-work face and turn it into a I’m-ready-to-rock face without too much effort? Let’s get going!

You want to glow!  This look is easy peasy! When you’re out at night and in minimal lighting (Why is it always so dark in those fancy resturants and clubs?) it’s important to ensure that your face catches all the light it can to make you stand out! So how do you accomplish this? It’s called a highlighter (Not the bright yellow kind you use in college text books) and it helps your skin glow! Apply highlighter to your cheekbones, nose, forehead, and chin, which are the high points on your face. Avoid white shades, since those don’t compliment all skin tones. Instead you should stick to more champagne tones.

Add some color! Eye shadow is sure to give you that pop of color you need to feel vibrant while you’re out and about. This years colors in fashion are all about pastels, especially mint, so why not throw on a nice mint shade to bring out the color of your new matching clutch? Or perhaps that new pastel pink dress? Liquid and cream shadows are a great option for long-wear as long as you prime your lids first to avoid caking and to ensure your shadow stays on all night.  (Did someone say cake?) When you’re in a rush you might not even need to worry about liner along with your shadow, just focus on that one color instead of adding liner. But having fun with your new look is never optional!
