Pretty in Pastels

You thought I was going to say pretty in pink weren’t you? Well, if that pink is pastel then I guess you’d be correct! With Easter coming up and pastels being more than in this season why not add some into your look this weekend? Mint has been one of the biggest trends with pants, shirt, skirts, nail polishes, hand bangs, and more. (You could probably make an entirely mint outfit if you really wanted!)

Start with pink. If you’re not fully ready to take the minty plunge into an array of pastels like yellows, purples, and blues then stay true to your best friend…pink! It’s easy to find flattering shades of most girls’ favorite color in all types of makeup. Cotton candy colored eye shadows are one way to get into the pastel trend, or you could opt for a lighter shade of pink for a subtler look.

Experiment. Don’t be afraid to try out those testers one shade at a time! Don’t feel as if you can’t try for a shade you haven’t done before. Be adventurous in pastel! Never tried yellow before? Find a nice subtle shade and test it on your lid. With the more vivid colors you don’t need to pile it on either, just one swipe your brush and you should be good to go in your new look!

Paint some eggs! Have fun with the look! Just like painting eggs, although the eggs are permanently that color and your eye shadow and blush can just be wiped off. So don’t fret it, just enjoy the trends as they come and go! For the super adventurous why not try some pastel shades of eyeliner for a real big pop in your features? It doesn’t have to be like an egg hunt to find the perfect pastel for you!

Yellow is my favorite color, so my mission of the weekend is to find some nice yellow shades to rock this spring! What’s your favorite pastel shade? If you’re not sure or maybe you’d prefer a pastel colored nail polish instead you can get your fix at the best of the nails salons Pittsburgh PA, Verve 360! A manicure is the perfect way to celebrate the rise of pastels and of course your new favorite color!
