Smoky Eyes Made Easy

We’ve all seen it.  From the red carpet, to the Gatsby crew on Jerseylicious, to the girl in the club turning heads, there is a trend in makeup that everyone wants for a night out.  Smoky eyes.  The dark blacks and silvers seem to shimmer in the night, making your eyes pop.  The question is, how do you do it?  Luckily for you, Jane Iredale has a Smoke Gets In Your Eyes eyeshadow kit that makes the smoky-eyed look quick and easy.

The kit consists of 5 different colors that work to enhance the color and shape of your eyes.  Some people may have lighter skin, and the heavy, dark shades are not the best match for them.  Fortunately, the Smoke Gets In Your Eyes 5-shade variety allows you to work with dark or light shades that match your skin tone.  Another perk is that you can use the colors separately, or blend them together to create the notorious smoky look.  The 5 shades are…

  • Nude
  • Violet
  • Aubergine
  • Sizzle
  • Sheer Gold

The key to perfect smoky eyes is how and where to apply each shade.  To start, apply your darkest color in a sideways V, preferably with a Iredale’s Contour Brush.  Then, directly above your iris, use a medium shade with the Shader Brush.  To finish, choose a light shade to highlight your brow.  Blend using the Delux Shader Brush.  You can finish off the look by getting a clean brush to blend together the colors you have already applied.

For those of you who are concerned about product ingredients, I have more good news.  Jane Iredale’s line consists of natural ingredients.  The Smoke Gets In Your Eyes eyeshadow kit is formulated with minerals, botanical extracts and silica.  Don’t hesitate!  Go to downtown pittsburgh hair salonsVerve 360 and smoke out your competition!
