The Color of Love

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

In my opinion Valentine’s Day is a totally unique holiday. It is the only day that people take time apart to tell (and show!) their loved ones just how much they care! All the pinks and reds, hearts and flowers, candy and cookies is so beautiful although for some totally nauseating…

Yeah I’ll admit some people get way too intense putting so much pressure on one day to be perfect and then being totally devastated when something goes wrong. These are the people that are loosing sight of what’s important on this day.

So keep it simple. Do little things to enjoy yourself and secretly inspire passion and desire in your loved one. A perfect way to accomplish this while pampering yourself is… have a spa day!

I’m talking about manicures, pedicures, and getting your make-up done and most importantly, do it all in shades of reds. Why? Red is not only the universal color for Valentine’s Day, it is also the color we unconsciously associate with fire, energy, strength, power, and importantly on this day: passion, desire, and love. Red is also the most emotionally intense color and unknowingly to us, automatically raises our blood pressure!

Give Zoya’s bright red “Gia” Polish a try or “Tosca” it’s my favorite and can best be described as a light strawberry red with sunny golden shimmer, totally gorgeous.

On your lips I suggest “Brody’s Girl“, its a creamy lip gloss in a red/orange shade that looks great on a wide variation of skin colors.

If you prefer a darker shade go with the more daring Zoya “Disguise” shade that’s a deeper almost maroon red that’s really great as a night shade.
