Dance the weight away!
Everyone knows about Dancing with the Stars. “Celebrities” (I use this term loosely because some of the people they get on this show have not had fame in years or are the relative of someone famous) partner up with professional dancers and compete in dance competitions weekly. I admit I do not watch the show that often, but one thing I do always hear about the show is how much celebrities slim down while training for it.
Kirstie Alley has lost 100 pounds since being on the show! That is an insane amount of weight! Chaz Bono and Rob Kardashian have both started losing weight since joining the show this season. Rob’s dance partner recently spoke about his weight loss claiming that is due to the fact he is using different muscles than he use to. The intense cardio workout associated with dancing is also a big factor is his new slimmed down look.
Dancing for weight loss is not a new phenomenon since Dancing with the Stars started, but it definitely is receiving a lot more attention than it use to now that the results are broadcast on television each week. Choreographer Benjamin Allen has started to assemble new dance routines aimed at making you sweat to lose weight, while keeping the fun aspect of dancing.
Robin Antin, founder of The Pussycat Dolls, has also released a new dance workout dvd. It is called the Dancer’s Body Workout based on the moves she teaches The Pussycat Dolls that keeps them all in the amazing shape they are in.
