Yoga gained widespread popularity in the late 1960’s and 70’s after American’s watched the Beatles doing yoga on television. After this many different musicians, and actors/actresses became avid fans of yoga and began to practice yoga regularly. Because of this trend, many people living during this time on the West Coast began to see practicing yoga as a regular part of their day.
Today Yoga has gained mainstream popularity, as over 30 million people around the world practice yoga daily! In these busy and chaotic times, yoga seems to be the best way to take a breath, calm down, and relax.
