Wii! A Fun New Way to Lose Weight!
When I think about video games/game consoles, I think of young teenage boys staying up all night to kill zombies or other creatures but after receiving a Wii for Christmas, I have a new perspective on video games. Although I was somewhat apprehensive about what I was going to do with the Wii (as I have never been a huge gamer), I decided to give it a shot. In addition to buying the Wii, my parents also purchased the Wii Fit for me. The Wii fit sparked my interest a little more than the game console, as I am a total work out freak, and I was excited to finally get to try it!
In the beginning, the Wii Fit asks you personal questions like height and weight, in order to properly show your progress each time you work out. Thinking that I would find the Wii Fit extremely easy, I hopped on the exercise board and began. Boy oh boy was I wrong about that! Not only did I struggle through figuring out my balance, but I was challenged by the intensity that the Wii game brought to the table.
After a while, Wii Fit got easier for me. I began to enjoy the Yoga portion of the Wii Fit game more and more. I began to tone up, and feel like I was able to stretch further and further. The Wii Fit is a perfect example of how modern technology is enabling people to get up and exercise! But if you don’t have a Wii and want to take Yoga classes, visit one of the best salons in downtown pittsburgh, Verve 360, and check out the exciting Yoga classes being offered there!
